Earworm Of The Day: Spring!

My earworms have finally broken out of their fixation on pop and jumped into the classical realm, with Vivaldi’s “Spring” concerto from The Four Seasons. When I think of this piece, Spring is always the one that comes to mind (or runs endlessly through my head).

I’m very much a classical music person, despite whoever in my head programs my morning chorus (no, I don’t have birdsong running through my head, though that woodpecker who visits every spring and tries to get everyone’s attention). Having Vivaldi waking me up is unusual, because I’m really much more into Romantic composers than Baroque, and am more likely to have something from Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony (now that’s depressing) echoing in my ears than anything by Bach. Everything from Beethoven to Mahler is my jam, but I do turn on The Four Seasons now and again.

I am working on some other material for this blog. I’m much more than earworms, believe me, but they show up more consistently than story ideas, so what you see is what you get.
